Welcome to Senior English!

Off of this homepage, there is a discussion tab. We will use this discussion board as a place to check in on assignments, ask questions, announcements, and any other general classroom topics that may come up during the year. Any of you may start a thread on this board or respond as you see fit. Unless otherwise noted, your participation on this board is not mandatory for class credit.

Discussion References-
On this page (found to the left), I will give you links or provide you with various types of online media including articles, blogs, other wikis, videos, photos, audio clips, podcasts, etc. that you can respond to and discuss on the corresponding discussion board. You are encouraged to use the questions presented as a starting point, but feel free to bring up ideas that fall outside that circle or that evolve from your classmates' posts. This is a homework assignment to which you must contribute at least one thoughtful, fully supported post. You are strongly encouraged to revisit the board, read what your classmates have added, and chime in again if you are inspired to do so. All Discussion Reference Posts will be given a due date, and you will need to respond to this topic before this time to receive credit. All due dates close at 11:59pm on the date posted, Eastern Standard Time.

A word or two about posting on the discussion board: Please do not forget that this wiki is an extension of our classroom and you need to treat your responses accordingly. This is both in regard to proofreading and writing in complete, grammatically correct sentences and in content that is respectful and appropriate for the classroom. For now, please make sure you are posting under your class's discussion thread. We may combine classes in future discussions, but for now we'll keep these separated by class. Feel free to read the ideas posted by students in the other period!

Um, what's a wiki? Well, here's a link that might be able to explain it for you for now:
What's a wiki?
But basically, this website, like articles on wikipedia, can be edited and updated by its users. For now, you are not to edit the pages, but eventually we will have pages that all members of the wiki can edit and contribute to by adding links, videos, etc.
