I get everything I need from the internet, and use my computer to make what I write look professional. I agree with what Nick Lee said, with the fact that we are all really just digital. When I do need the computer for school, I use it. But 99% of the time, I am just on the computer to mess around, and to distract me for an hour or so until something better to do comes about.","dateCreated":"1285013881","smartDate":"Sep 20, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"NickPichette","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/NickPichette","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"27298023","body":"All of the statements in this video stood out to me mainly because I can relate to most of them and I found it ironic that we were given a assignment on the computer and that video was in my opinion against using computers and the internet to make the teachers job easier. Because I am not a digital learner I have trouble staying focused during a power-point or doing anything on the computer at all and I think that the teachers should try a little harder and write everything out on the chalkboard so everyone can see it and understand what is going on in the class.","dateCreated":"1285015425","smartDate":"Sep 20, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"Cmurph93","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/Cmurph93","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"27302463","body":"The majority of the statements in the video i found very interesting. Todays economy is very involved with computers and technological tools. I am a digital learner. I think that when thinks are on the internet it is more organized, i memorize things easier when it is on a screen in front of me. Google documents is great idea because you can edit what was previously posted. I think the internet is useful for english and history classes, but i do think that for math and science classes a white board, paper or white board are more helpful to learners. I know a decent amount of college kids who would admit they spend their time sitting on facebook while their professor is teaching a lesson. There are too many distractions in this society to learn things the way we are suppose to.","dateCreated":"1285021434","smartDate":"Sep 20, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"bmello1963","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/bmello1963","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"27305675","body":"I think that I am deffinately a digital learner. I hardly ever look in a book to find an answer to any of the questions I may have. I know that this my not be the best thing, but ready all the responses, its good to know practically everyone else is on the same page. I found this video very intriguing, and all of the facts that were shown really caught my attention. I'm amazed at how long some people spend on the computer a day. Most are on Facebook and all of the other popular sites. These sites cause us to procrastinate, which is becoming a problem by interfering with our learning.","dateCreated":"1285025617","smartDate":"Sep 20, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"maria.whiteley","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/maria.whiteley","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"27307689","body":" would have to agree with "Nicklee". When i get an assignment where I have to find information I know its much easier to find it online because I don't have to do as much work, but I end up learning much less in the process. Reading through the textbook to find information doesn't just give you the information you're looking for but it also gives us a lot of background knowledge on what we need to know.","dateCreated":"1285028843","smartDate":"Sep 20, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"MIKETISSER","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/MIKETISSER","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"27362233","body":"I wouldn't say that I am a digital learner, because even though I might use the computer for research for school asignments I am not REALLY learning, and all the information I read for an assignment is inevitably going to be forgotten. The amount of time I spend on the internet for school is dwarfed by the amount of time I spend on the internet recreationally. Everyone would learn best by doing, because having the patience to scroll through a book to find an answer is much better than getting the answer instantly from Google.","dateCreated":"1285114947","smartDate":"Sep 21, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"noahr721","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/noahr721","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"27422715","body":"I agree with Matt Wilbur. Teachers have seem more and more dependent on computers, powerpoints and smart boards; and sooner or later, they won't be able to teach without a computer. I believe the more technology grows, the more attached we are to that technology than the previous "new thing". I am a digital learner, I rarely ever use books for research unless it is required because the internet is faster, easier and simpler. In classes that have smart boards and use projectors connected to computers i often find that I do better and my grade is higher. With the internet everything is so much faster and more connected.
